Snow! Empty
PostSubject: Snow!   Snow! EmptyThu 6 Aug 2009 - 20:17

This and Thundersnow is the best types of weather anyone can enjoy.
I have seen it twice living here on Camano Island,WA. Once in the daytime where it turned the air an orange tinge. The lightning just made the orange tinged sky light up and sparkle...
the next time was at night..... this time it was a black/purple tinge to the sky and same thing happend but it looked like it was a gazillion transformers blowing up but it was just lightning that was bolting around. So cool! cheers

First time, and only time I ever saw it, it took me off guard, thats for sure. Was driving about 5 MPH on the interstate in an extremely heavy snow storm and the whole sky lit up. Looked like a transformer blew up. At the time, I had no idea what it was, but it was mentioned on the 11PM news that evening. Does anyone know if that is normally cloud to cloud or cloud to ground lightning or both?
