Per the SPC:
I took Wednesday off work to chase. I still have NOT decided if I will stream or not. It will definitely be a pretty good day for severe weather! Hope to bag a few tornadoes and take lots of pictures! Will update as needed!

It's not even worth doing a write up about this one... but I will say it was great meeting you, Cory, hopefully we'll get another chance to chase again under more cooperative of mother nature's circumstances.

With that last topic let me begin my account of some AWESOME IA tornadoes.
Not really, I didn't see any. I was confirmed I did get a small funnel and a wicked gustnado that traveled about 2 miles at points having multiple gustnadoes near each other less than 20 miles from the house.
Koops and I were hammering the models all freaking day as I made a wishcast based on some confusing models for SE SD and NW IA. We had a nice LL Jet. Not a lot of shear and CAPE was at 1500j/kg. The storms were liner as it approached and it appeared my forecast was a flop because I had forecast a single cell would pop up just SW of Denison, IA. But guess what, it popped up ahead of the line and quickly became tornado warned. By the time I intercepted it it had become embedded in the line and was still warned. Not a ton of rotation but was a fun run none the less.
Also did an interview with Ben Dunsmoore from KELOLAND TV about spotters and chasers.
Here it is:

Ok so the HD video has been reviewed and confirmed 2 tornadoes.
As the OFB interacted with new cells that were popping up created just enough spin to create the frequent spinup tornadoes on the front edge of the storms. This storm was tornado warned at the time. There was plenty of black dirt for the spinup tornadoes to pick up, making them visible Here is more information from the NWS NWS Story
