I am sure most of you know what Marc, Mike, and I have been up to with our Proof of Concept project. I am absolutely thrilled to tell you guys and gals that I will be testing out cutting edge technology this spring with Marc when we chase. I have purchased a GoPro HD 1080P camera and will be mounting on my Remote Controlled airplane for outstanding images and videos that has never been done before with this camera. Here is a few pictures of the plane and I will include additional pictures with all the mounting finished. Motor is going on next weekend.

Specs:
100 CC 4 stroke piston engine
7 foot wingspan
7 foot body length
1/3 scale of actual airplane
All digital 2.4 Ghz system with hi-torque servos
110mph top speed
0mph min speed (it can hover)
30 minute flight times
Auto Start/Ignition
Autopilot
Smoke System

Check back soon! Any questions regarding this project, please contact me and I'll be more than happy to answer your questions!

I am licensed and I have insurance on the airplane. All you have to do is adhere to the IMAA/AMA rules/regulations. The big thing was the probe deployment. I am not dropping anything so its basically a 100% a-go for me.

Thats going to be pretty awesome. What is the range from controller to airplane? Are you planning on being stationary on the ground controlling, or in the passenger seat of a moving vehicle chasing the plane?

It can be done multiple ways. It can be moving and/or stationary. The range is well over line of sight. I have seen over a mile before.
