Im very gitty right now. Actually im doing everything I can to get ahold of people for a ride along chase to help pay for gas. I dont have much cash at all on me so if I cant find someone its gonna be very local.. However im looking forward to finding just anyone, of course gas is the only thing id charge for.
Anyways today has turned into a moderate risk and cant wait till the next update this morning. I know marc has someone whos joining him but if anyone else knows of an extra person for me let me know. I have a feeling todays gonna be a very nice day out.

Rardy and I are going and Koops is to my knowledge undecided... we're going along with the same plan, we're going to stay local since it's in our backyard I need to be around for the FD in case anything happens, I would just keep posting on FB and even use the EXWX FB page to see if anyone will pickup and volunteer to go with you...

Im making another version of this.. But heres the current video of the chase. At 5:30 is where the car gets hit. at 5:50 look at the top center of the video and youll notice another funnel forming out from the orignal tornado. Yes I would consider this a huge hit for me, not only that but capturing the debri flying around. In fact there was a tree that flew past just in front of me a 100 yards or so, but i duct down in the car for possible impact before it was caught on camera.
the impact wasnt expected or caught me off guard thats why i got hit like i did
no i havent done anything with my window yet. i was very comfortable in my area and closeness. the impact i took with harsher then video shows. due to language and other conversations i took the sound off and replaced it with music.
after this i did some storm damage and helped out farmers and houses that got hit, i have video and pictures coming later.
heres the damage video

It may have been to close to you but me personally I was rather comfortable. Im happy with what I got despite the windsheild which can be replaced. Im not trying to be a wacker and get as close as possible, I just went for it and did what I did.

How can you you be comfortable with getting hit with shit? I can understand mistakes but from the video you can clearly your damn close to the circulation but you continues to drive closer then it "back feeds" and wraps you in the circulation too. I wasn't gonna say much about it but your statement about being comfortable concerns me.

Then be concerned.. my life, not yours. If you think that by what I did is gonna show bad effects on 'your team' then get rid of me, simply that easy. Simply put I got the money shot, and better video than you did. I guess im a bit more of a risk taker, people will love my video and others with hate it all together. So be it.

Jason why do you have to be such an ass about this you know what screw you, kill yourself I don't care. This has nothing about the "Money Shot" or video. You are the only one concerned with getting fame. I chase because I enjoy it. I wish you the best of success.

So I am reading this thread and honestly cant believe the argument here over opinions, but after seeing the video, I feel I will throw my $.02 in. I agree that you were a little too close to the tornado, much closer than I would have been, however, if thats what you feel is what you want, I'm not going to shun you for it, to each their own. However, what I do see as an unsafe practice that I think needs to be addressed, and not just for your video (becasue I have seen this before by others, but stayed silent) is driving and holding the camera at the same time. I am sorry, but thats just plain stupid and dangerous. The driver needs to focus on the road and other vehicles chasing or people on foot outside their car filming. That in its self is enough of a challenge, let alone trying to stay out of the path of a tornado. Adding filming into the mix is dangerous as hell to everyone around. If you cant get someone else to chase with you, stop, pull over and film. Jason, I am not singleing you out, I just posted it here because it caught my attention on this video. I am a pretty laid back kind of person, and I will be honest in saying that I break a few driving laws myself, but if I were to ever see someone trying to film and drive and they cause an accident and kill someone, I would do anything in my power to see that person hangs in court. I rate that up there with a drunk driver. No sympathy at all. I really think that should be a rule with this team for safety reasons that it is banned to drive and film at the same time, and if you do, don't post it! That just advertises a negative activity with our team.

Plain and simple this just goes to show lack of knowledge and experiance. This is what running to the "Red Spot" gets you.
Brian I agree on the team not filming and driving but I would hope our member are smart enough to operate safetly and not to specific rules. If it becomes an issue then we can certainly do it.
Unfortunatly, Jasons comments are a pride thing I suppose. If he would put in the work to learn he'd be a good chaser. But I didn't start calling him rainman because of his steller skills at bagging tubes.
