Arctic high pressure will provide another frigid start to the day across much of the region, but is expected to slip eastward through the day, allowing development of a moderating southerly flow. In the transition time this morning, some bitterly cold wind chills will continue, even with wind speeds mainly 10 mph or less through the eastern Dakotas and Nebraska. It will not be as cold today, and the moderating trend to temperatures will more or less continue into early next week, when most will likely find normal to above normal temperatures for several days.
